Nana Asante Boateng, who serves as the Ntotoyɛhene of the New Juaben Traditional Council, has earned widespread admiration for his affable nature, generosity, and unwavering commitment to community development. In addition to his traditional leadership role, he is a dedicated and philanthropic Director of the New Juaben Table Tennis Club, where his impact continues to be deeply felt.

The New Juaben Table Tennis Club has honorably presented the prestigious 49th SWAG Award for “Dedication and Valor” to Daasebre Kwaku Boateng III.
Sunday, March 2, 2025, marked a significant occasion for the good people of New Juaben as they celebrate their ” Akwasidea,” A festival that is celebrated on Sundays, once every six weeks and Nine times a year. A festival mark for the commemoration of their ancestors.
Seizing this momentous opportunity, the leadership of the new juaben table tennis club presented the SWAG award to the Omanhene of the New Juaben traditional area who doubles as the life Patron of the Club.
Mr Emmanuel Obiri Minta, the Club organizer, who spoke on behalf of the Club, highlighted the substantial contributions of Daasebre Kwaku Boateng III since he ascended the throne. Among his noteworthy initiatives is the successful securing of a training hall for the club. He also articulated the positive impact of table tennis on the development of the region, country, and continent, tracing its origins to the late Daasebre Kwaku Boateng II and retired Chief Coach Ankama Arhin. He emphasized that many players have gained admission to various public universities, while others have enlisted in the security services or found opportunities abroad, affirming that the sport transcends mere recreation and serves as a transformative force in their lives.
The shared joy reflected in the faces of the Chiefs and the residents of New Juaben at the occasion was truly heartwarming.
Furthermore, the club took this occasion to announce their upcoming tournament titled the “Golden Cherry/NJTTC Eastern Close Tournament” to His Royal Highness, presenting him with a customized jersey as a token of appreciation.
The event was graced by the presence of Nana Asante Boateng I (Akwudum Nkosouhene), who also serves as a director of the club, along with Mr. Ernest Wiredu, CEO of Golden Cherry and a member of the club’s directors.
The club’s chairman, Mr Felix Adjetey Sowah, was accompanied by fellow executives and members of the playing team, all of whom contributed to making this occasion memorable.
